I think this is what I'm doing. 12" Nitro-V @ 60.5 rc . Stock is 3/16".

More work on my offering. I always try to do something new on these builds, so I ground my first false edge last night. I am pretty happy with how even it is. I started out using the flat platen, but then used my 12" wheel horizontally. That worked waaaaayyy better.

You can use hold the alt key and 32. will give you a space. FYI.

I have the blade it's 80CRV2. I was thinking about cleaning it up and giving it a nice handle. It might be a little simple and boring though. Thoughts?

Hand sanded and some wood scales it'd make a nice bird and trout

I'm not sure that's it's really a bird and trout. I think it's a bit more like a 4" drop point hunter. It's a bit vanilla though.
Maybe I will toss a handle on it and then we will see.

Maybe some dovetailed bolsters would spruce it up?

simple design executed well isn't boring but makes a good knife imho
If that were my blank I'd be hand sanding it all evening

This will be my likely submission. 1/16” 15n20, Rc63, 0.004” before sharpening. Zebrano wa handle with Wenge bolster.

Edit: this is just rough ground at 120g. I’ll finish it properly of course.

My plan is ever changing. Used some " Kuraki bolts" on these g-10 scales. Debating buffing them. What do you prospective receivers say?
