WIP - 1st knife looking for feedback

Seionage:

I just today found this thread and looked at the whole thing. GREAT JOB! My first knife didn't have a bolster, spacers, or decorative filing. Your knife blew mine away. What I'm trying to say is the skills you tackled with the tools you had were way beyond anything I would have even considered. So, now it's done, and you're ready for the next. Here's the part of knife making I love: learn from what you did wrong on the last knife and don't make that mistake again. Make what you like, and do the next better than the first.

One other thing: consider building or buying a grinder. The time you save is unbelievable. When I built mine, I was on cloud nine over what it could do for me.

Again, great job, and thanks for sharing. Is this fun or what?

It looks really good. I just hope that my first one turns out half as good. Thanks for taking the time to do this thread the way you did.

What a great thread. Thanks for posting all of the pictures as it was very informative and interesting. My first knife was also made entirely using files and I now have a belt sander that really speads things up. The knife looks awesome, you do great work!

I just have to comment on your peining. I laughed out loud when I saw " it shows. hit it more!!!!" that is an approach that is refreshing after people saying that you have to have a 1 ounce hammer, an small anvil and unicorn pee to make it work. ;)

You should have seen the look on my face after I did that. I was like "Sh*t! That sounded like a good idea 5min ago.."
