WIP - Burt Foster/David Broadwell laminated subhilt

seeing a knife made by two of my favourite knife makers is a real treat. :)

Thanks again Bill:thumbup: This is great stuff, love the detail in the step by step photos you've posted.

Absolutely Outstanding comes to mind.
Congratulations Bill.

Can see opportunity for a really artistic sheath for this one.

This definitely needs to be included in the recent "best handle thread".

Wonderful. Amazing curves and proportions.

I love how the blade steel is half plain and half multi-layered. Best of both worlds, visually!

Coop

You seem real happy, Bill:thumbup:;)

Best Regards,

Spectacular knife! It has been a pleasure watching it all come together. I can't wait to see Coop's photo bring out all the terrific details.

STeven,

I know this isn't your cuppa tea, but I appreciate the thought!
Definitely not a "classic" subhilt, by any means, but you're right - I like it!

Maybe it is a new "genre";)

Roger - I sent you an email via your profile here - not sure if you got it or not:) - are you going to the ECCKS?

Bill

Bill way to go you have a fine knife made by two of the top names in the knife world. And a nice wip thread to go with it.

I'm not sure what this is, but I think that sick feeling I have in my stomach is love.
Sorry, I know about them commandments, but how could I not covet such a beauty?

Congratulations!

Bill, congratulations for that great project. I totaly agree that Mr. broadwell's design looks great, I think it is kind of magical looking. :D I also ordered a knife of him, and is continue ordering a sheath of it.
What a pitty I am not able to take a look at the process of my order, because I am in China. however, I would love to share some photos of the final work with all friends here, once it arrived. expecting some day in March.
