holy crap! Just like that, eh?
A guy posts a pic of his dream design asking if anyone can make it, Lon Humphrey is like, 'hell ya I can do it', and now we have a wip going on said knife. Within what, three weeks?

Dang I love the internets!

3 weeks? i think more like 1 week! pretty cool...can't wait to get this thing in my hands!!

Pretty cool Lon, I've seen your destruction vids. You build some really tough knives.

It already looks like a cool fighter right off the anvil - good stuff. Nice to see a project like this born and brought to fruition on the forum.

Roger

Lon, fantastic job of forging close to shape ! Really Fantastic

I noticed in pic 009, the one that shows the knife tang heat, it appears you have some nuggets on the forge floor.

Are you controlling atmosphere using hardwood charcoal (or something else) in your gas forge ??

when your hungry you work harder :D

I'm sorry Lon :o I couldn't help but get a grin from your comment :D

That one is priceless my friend ;) :)

Again, excellent work !!

no thats a ceramic tile i put in there to keep flux from destroying the floor of my forge and as you can see over time it preaty much disintegrated to nothing but it does hold my forging up from the bottem a little bit so i can get at it with the tongs....thanks for so many knid words
