WIP fighter for VIVA LA

and the oil is heated in a crock pot to around 120F
here is where i am today the blade is polished out to mirror and hand sanded to 220 grit finish viva la said he wants a dark finish so ill put it in the ferric for a few seconds to give it the dark finish he wants....unless he would like to keep it bright:thumbup:

thanks im glad your happy so far what do you want me to do with the finish make it dark or leave it bright?
 
Blade looks great - what do you all have picked out for handle material?

heres the next set...and at this point im waiting on the wood to show up...this thing is scarry sharp too!!!!

looking better and better. I'm very surprised how fast it is coming along. Do you have an aprox ETA when it will be finished?
 
that depends on when the wood gets here i really thought it would be here today....but after i get the wood it should be another day then it will go to the sheath makers i would guess that i should have it ready to ship by the middle to end of next week
im glad your happy with it...the worst part of building a custom order for somone is the waiting for them to get it in there hands, ive never had one come back and that is my worst fear:eek:

oh, the sheath...i was wondering...can it be made to draw horizontal from the back? you know what I mean?

i talked to my sheath maker and he said that wouldnt be a problem...ill post more pics when i get more done...thanks for looking everyone! im glad you are all enjoying this build its been fun for me too:thumbup:
