WIP - Kyle Hanson EDC Fighter - Knife Complete!

Loving that Damascus. Looks like a spring brook meandering to the river. This is going to be a super piece.

- Joe

Joe, on the A side I saw the P-51 Mustang Shark graphic with the eye of the shark very prominently presenting itself. Always interesting hearing what folks see in a damascus pattern and one of the reasons I love the stuff!

Really like the design and the execution on this knife. Nice job, Kyle!!! Congrats on a cool piece, Evan!!!

Really enojoyed seeing this terrific little knife come together. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the project. Tip of the hat to Kyle for a job very well done.

I touched that knife. What's interesting haven't saw in 20 years but half dozen guys that could taper a tang. Didn't take Kyle long to figure.

Course if your building guitar's it don't hurt to set by Clarence Leonidas :)

Thanks for all the comments guys!! Very much appreciated!

I saw the "eye" on the show side as well! It was the first thing I noticed when I looked over the blade! It fits the personality perfectly, love it.

I particularly like how the steel shimmers where the highly folded areas come close to each other.

Right Rick... Kyle has me beat on the tapered tang thing.

Paul Long sent me a photo of the sheath he's made. It looks pretty fantastic and I think it'll make one hell of a package!

I really appreciate the kind words, everybody! This one came together really nicely and I think I'm definitely going to be making a few knives in similar styles. I made an earlier sketch for Evan with the same blade shape but with a finger groove style handle similar to one of Don's tactical folders that I might attempt making after I'm done with my outstanding orders.

Thanks! It feels like I kind of just fell into it. I never had all that much trouble getting it down besides the occasional tang that wouldn't completely flatten out. I've done it to so many knives now that it just doesn't look right if I don't taper the tang, heh.

By the way it was really nice meeting you guys! The drill press works great, really appreciate it!

Damn that sheath came out great. Love his choice of tooling and how it mimics the blade shape.

Hey guys! I actually received this knife by surprise on Friday. Carried it yesterday and was just able to get some half decent shots of it.

Its an incredible piece, couldn't be happier. The handle fits like a glove as Kyle nailed my exact blade/handle length specs. He certainly knows his blade geometry too, its a fantastic slicer.

Paul's sheath is amazing, as expected. This is my first and its very clear as to why he is considered one of the best. The knife is held firmly in place but draws light and butter smooth, no idea how he does it. I wanted it to be nice and slim and the whole package when sheathed is just over 3/4", pretty impressive!

The pics are the best I could do with no sunlight and a phone camera. I'm certainly no Coop or Caleb. ;)

And last but not least a quick carry pic from today. Rides perfectly!

Very nice, Evan! Paul nailed the sheath and I don't see how Kyle could have done any better. Heck I want one too! :)

Thanks Don! Couldn't have made it happen without ya!

I'm sure Kyle can squeeze you into his books. ;)
