This knife has not been carried. Only taken out of the box to inspect and tighten the pivot to obtain a dead centered blade. The picture in this thread is BEFORE I centered the blade. It was only off a few degrees beforehand. I also stropped it to obtain a shaving sharp level of sharpness. You can follow the threads by me from the Spyderco forum regarding this knife if you like. Lockup is rock solid and early. Action is smooth but new. I can't call it gritty like others have described. No after market lube has been added. Since these pictures were taken I tightened the pivot a smidgeon and achieved a dead center blade. The pivot screw was not stripped in any way. The action mysteriously smoothed out even more from what was already "smooth enough" OOTB. The only issues I can find are insignificant cosmetic items. On the "USA Earth" side of the blade, the overall blade grind (3rd picture) is a little more coarse than previously owned Militarys. There is also a slight dark section that appears to be mild grind burn (5th picture) but the light has to be right to see it. I believe the picture I posted here accurately depicts this. And lastly there is a VERY faint lateral mar line (4th picture) out toward the tip just above the edge. It's so minor you will find yourself playing with light angles to see it. You can faintly see it in the picture below the grind burn picture but it's not perfectly focused. Everything else about this knife is spot on.
I'm open to any offers and will reserve the right to deny any offer as well. I'm also open to throwing in another NIB or two for a higher valued knife that is NIB or at worst LNIB, both functionally and cosmetically. I have a NIB Gayle Bradley that is perfect in every way. It is one of those the early ones that was released WITHOUT the Gayle Bradley etching on the blade. I also have a NIB Manix 2 in CTS-XHP and a NIB Sage 2. Both of are perfect in every way.
I'd also like to make this a United States to United States transaction too if a deal is worked out. Thanks!
