We've all been there. After a week-and-a-half of scouring everything from the couch cushions to under the car seats to going through trash bags (yuck) I am officially throwing in the towel. My favorite user is lost. Maybe it will turn up, maybe it won't.

I really thought I'd be carrying this one until I was a creaky old man but alas! Her run only lasted a scant two months. The maddening part is just not knowing where it resides on God's Green Earth at this very moment. I think I'd actually rather find it crushed into a useless, mangled lump in the driveway than have a slim chance of finding it in perfect condition buried in my sock drawer, one day. At least I'd know it's fate for sure.

So, commiserate with me and heap your pity on my shoulders. #firstworldknifeproblems

Oh, I hate losing things, it drives me nuts! So sorry about this, that is a real beauty. Sometimes when I lose something I think about that Twilight Zone episode where a child falls out of bed and rolls under it and into another dimension. o_O The parents can hear him crying but can't see him.

That's the worst!! Hang in there! I bought a knife that I'd been looking for for years....had it half a day and dropped it and broke the blade.

Shyet- that’s a nice Knife.

Check washing machine, Dryer.

Check paints pockets and Coat pockets again.

How far does the back inside drop of your couch/ chairs go?
Checked under the couch= drop on floor and kicked under?
Triple check car seats a frames of car seats that seem to have never ending knife hiding pockets built into them.

In the rail of the slider of your car seat?

When’s the last time you used it- think where- try and trace those next very important steps from there.

Been there a few times - never found the first release 2012 PPP TC Ebony that traveled to the other side of the World with me. :( STILL guts me to this day that one.

Found my beloved 77 Northfield gifted to me by Paul in the seal gusset in the front loader washing machine after being missing for a week - earned a lifetime of patina in one week I can tell you!
And countless others that go stray for a few days.

I lost my very first pocket knife. It was missing for years. Then my aunt found it in the back of her Jeep before she sold it, looooong time later. I know it's disappointing. But I hope you find it sometime.

Oh I can assure you I've looked everywhere. I still am. I know when I last carried it but don't have a recollection of setting it down for the night. I've looked in jacket and pants pockets I haven't worn in months haha! I'll definitely give your suggestions a thorough going thru. Thanks for the suggestions!

6 months or more later, my wife found my Tony Bose Trapper, one that HE had carried, hiding in a rolled up pair of wool socks she borrowed because her feet were cold!!
Love that woman!!
Who knows when your knife will show up??

I HATE to hear this as I have been there before. I tell you what, please pm me your address and I will send you a new 78 from the same release:thumbsup: different covers then your mia knife. The only thing I ask is that you put another EO mod in the knife I send, making it your own as I admire the work you did on that one:cool:

Yeah, buddy! Thats the way.

Play that movie back in your head. Every move you made.

Lost one of the dog's leashes a month ago, had it since we got him 7 years. Disappeared during a snowshoe, had an idea where but couldn't find it. Hiked the same route 3 times the day I lost it and then every couple days after. 2 weeks after I lost it I found in buried in the snow within 10' of my best guess of the most likely spot.

Keep looking.

Man I hate that for you I lost a 14 I loved about 2 years ago and this big ole boy almost cried.

Well done Paul.

Wow Paul, that is a fantastic offer but before I say yes give me another day to look around outside. I really haven't been able to do so yet because we had 6 inches of snow a week ago and it's just now melted. I don't have high hopes because I walk the dog in a wooded area and the knife is brown. Besides, snow vs. carbon steel...but let me glance around. Man, you are a true mensch and a knife hero. Thanks so much again for the offer!
