Hello knife people! This weekend something a bit different lately. I've been uisng PM tool and stainless steels lately, it's nice to go back to carbon steel. But this isn't your grandpa's carbon steel, this is Wolfram Special. If you've never heard of it, think of it as a much tougher version of Aogomi (Blue) Super paper steel. It has better toughness, but still has that great wear resistance. It would probably fall under the O-7 AISI class of steels, but has a lot more tungsten (wolfram) for increased wear resistance. These tungsten alloyed carbon steels are my favorite of the low alloy stuff. They have a lot of wear resistance for being low alloy, but you don't need diamond to sharpen them at the finer grits. Heat treat done in house, including "cryo" quench and triple tempers for a hardness of 64HRC. I actually got an "auto-hamon" on this one. I didn't bother with the high polish and etching, trying to keep the price down a bit, and that's a lot of work to do correctly. Plus, it's not like a "Wow!!!" hamon, it's just there. Tilt it in the light and you can make it out easily. The hamon will give the blade a lot of macro toughness. Not really needed in a 4" blade, but it's there. Hand rubbed blade finish on a full flat grind with very thin edge geometry (you guys know me!) Old school simple walnut furniture with brass pins. Crazy sharp edge. I remember when I was a young kid and my first experience with a properly heat treated carbon steel blade, the Cold Steel Master Hunter in Carbon V. I never cared for the geometry of that knife (too fat), but was very impressed with the edge retention after processing a few whitetail deer. Wolfram Special is going to have a lot more wear resistance as well as being a bit harder. Me think you like!

Paypal preferred (samuraistuart@yahoo.com). Generally, the first person to send PP gets the knife. If you are interested, I recommend posting something like, "I'll take it! Funds sent." and sending payment immediately. No need to ask if it's still available. If there is ever a conflict, which hasn't happened yet, I will refund your PP immediately. I also take Venmo, DM me for the address, it's my wife's account and I forget the address. All knives come with free shiping in the USA and a lifetime unconditional warranty. I'll repair or replace, pretty much no matter what. Just understand that I like to use thin stock, thin grinds, and temper most steels for a slightly harder blade than you might be used to. I highly advise do not try to cut throught nails, bone, frozen food, or stab a car door, things like that. Just use it to cut stuff, like it was intended. If you have any questions, send me an email or DM me. Email is same as the PP address. Thanks for looking!
