Maaaaaaaaan Maarten...

Ya keep giving me flashbacks of that shark I seen during night diving!

I gotta say the more I carry this, I know only 2 days, the more I like it. Extremely well made and after sharpening it is as sharp as anyone could ask for. A bit heavy for the size but that can be remedied with relief cuts in the steel liner on the g10 side or just have someone make up a new g10 scale. The lock up is bit sticky even yet but that will smooth out too I am sure. keepem sharp

Aloha longbow,

Which model do you have? And yes...the lock will get smoother once it gets broken in.

God bless and Happy New Year!

Aloha sir. It is the M type that I speak of. I'll tell ya again this knife for the price paid way exceeds my expectations. I just really went at the edge and stropped it on a piece of soft leather loaded with 0000 rouge and talk about freakin sharp. No burr either or wire edge which is a testament to blade grind and steel heat treating. I want that G4 now when it comes out. I'll have some relief cuts in the steel liner done to lighten the load a bit but again all I can say is holy crap for less than 35 bucks anybody would be very hard pressed to find a better constructed knife no matter where made. You done good bro. keepem sharp

Aloha Daywalker,
I have 4 M-Type and 1 Hyper. They are perfect design. I even wish that I can copy this design and ask custom maker to make this one exactly just for me. I love these and carry them. The only thing I want to change is much thicker blade on Hyper and a hair or two thicker on M-Type. This is just my Opinion.

+1 for M Type love!!  great knife!

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a M Type after seriously
considering a Tenacious. What made me decide on the
M Type is the frame lock over the Tenacious's liner lock.

To answer why they seem to be flying under the radar, I guess
it's because they are made in China(I've noticed most of the knife people on this board are very much against red Chinese products, for good reason), I prefer American made knives or at the least Taiwanese but the value on these seems to good to pass up....

I finally got my M Type and have to say I'm impressed, with
reservations. First, areas of improvment. It is pretty heavy for a small
knife, and as mentioned above, they should have made the non lock side
with solid g-10 instead of having the heavy liner inside the g-10. If they
have to have the liner(I don't see why) them why not at least drill holes in it
like the Spyderco Tenacious liners are to lighten it? I might do this myself
if I get around to it. The second criticism was mentioned already also
and it is about the detent being a little to strong. I improved it a little on
mine by simply bending the lock so it didn't exert so much pressure
on the detent while not going to far and getting play in the lockup. It is
still solid in lockup but much easier to open.

I like just about everything else about it. Handle design is great, the clip
is reversible(why don't all knife makers do this?) and perfect in design also.
The lockup is as good as it gets. Way better than that $300 SnG I had
awhile back. I'll probably buy another with a satin pe blade. well
worth the $40 I paid...

Used the M-type today to chop a hole in the 1"-thick pine back of an armoire today as the satellite TV guy was installing our system. I didn't have time to run to the garage and get the proper tools to do a pretty job, the Boker's Daywalker design worked great.

Aloha ALL,

No need to call me "sir" longbow...I am just a "normal" knifenut like everyone here!:D Glad you are enjoying the M-TYPE.

Also, to Ktint, Erich, fatheadhill, and yerscattergun, thanks for your kind words!!! (especially yerscattergun's SnG remark!!!)

The M-Type and Hyper are great knives for the price...I hope everyone will get to experience them.

God bless and thanks to all who posted!!!
