Wood Bandsaw: Should I use it for metal?

I agree with Mahoney. You will find titanium and Damascus cut differently than carbon or stainless steel. Since the saw I'm using doesn't have that "wizard drive" (variable speed) I can tell you to speed up or slow down, but I would think it would be to go a little slower. Frank
 
I calculated the different speeds on my drive so I can now adjust it between 70-300 SFPM. I also printed a chart for different metals, I only need to find the Titanium speeds which is not on there.
I will also keep the tires as a backup as you said.
