Thanks, I've seen other knives listed with bloodwood for example for sale. But they looked more red. That is really elegant.

This one does have a reddish tone. But like many natural materials, may look slightly different in different lighting conditions.

Bloodwood comes in various shades. Here's 3 examples and my ring and the beermug bead on the gunscout are bloodwood as well. Also, more use tends to darken the color.

Great examples. There is a lot of difference. Your ring especially is really dark. Maybe it's the photo? Thanks for illustrating the differences.

Love Wooden Wednesday! joeradza, I didnt used to be a fan of...simpler wood (for lack of better terms) handles on knives but after working with some old gunstock walnut and and oak from a Jack Daniels barrel it has grown on me quite a bit. That Old Barn Chestnut looks absolutely perfect on that #15!!!
