LOL :D

These are by Rick Menefee and I do believe every one of them was originally done by Tony Bose ( in modern custom hand made versions of course) , witch then inspired Menefee. I cheer them on and enjoy their creations.
The teardrop has Rick's touch, the slight recurve to the edge. The " Swayhawk" as Campbell once called it, has the blade profile we saw in a 5 blade Rogers whittler that Tony did. Put it on a swayback handle. The straight one, well I've seen plenty old Keen Kutter type parers like that

Curly maple, red liners. Swayhawk & Teardrop have tapered tangs. Any one alone makes a great parer/utility. Together as a set is great. Could be considered overkill

20170620_110048.jpg Wenge Wood that replaced the factory plastic scales. Does anyone have advice for a finish. I tried a few but sanded them off as they darkened the wood to much and I couldn't see the grain well enough.

I have not tried wax, ren Or other but did think wax might be a good option.
It is riding in my pocket with no finish and getting darker than I would prefer.

Thanks Gary. Nice shot of that sweet Joker, shows the patina well. Useful looking blade shape, nice that it doesn't need a nail nick. Olive wood is a favorite of mine, I'd like to see it used more often on USA made folders. Have a great day my friend.
