Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Four wood clad knives from four different countries of origin. Possibly with four different types of wood even.

GT Thanks, the puukko is made of different colour laminated woods cut to give a 'zebra' effect, v.comfortable in the hand too. Whereas, the GEC 14 was an SFO in Oily Creek Bone, smooth ...

Since I've been carrying the #49 stockman, I thought I'd take a pic of all five of my curly zebrawood Queens together.

That's handsome stuff covering those knives. Looks like the passionchild of Ironwood and Maple.

***** Warning - Carrying this cigar may become habit forming *****

You ain't kiddin', either. That's what I've been carrying every day lately.

I had been looking for this flat bolstered AW Barlow for month and suddenly I (re)discovered her tucked behind an alarm clock!
I have a friend, she thinks that objects love to hide from us. I am getting to believe it too :)! (or ist it just my bad memory?)

This is a GEC #50 in 440c with Green Diamond Wood. I’m not sure what Green Diamond wood is, and would enjoy anyone with information to chime in. Made in 2010
DymondWood was a name brand of laminated, stabilized wood. Buck used it a lot, until (if I remember correctly) there was a fire at the facility.

Happy Hanukah Wooden Wednesday!

Pàdruig Pàdruig No its an ESEE that the customer had me work over. He's a Civil War reenactor so he wanted some rusticity thrown in. It was covered in a thick coat of black paint when I got it. new sheath for it too:

Ah, well I must say, you did an exceptional job and your work produced a knife that is hugely improved over what it started as.
