Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

One of my favorites and one of the best executed Forum knife to date, elegant, simple answer just plain gorgeous. Everything came together beautifully with this knife and the timing was perfect. From the knife bein' one of the last things to roll out the door before they (Canal Street Cutlery) closed their doors for the final time. I think it was fitting that was were one of their first SFOs when they started and we were one of the last to close the doors too. It was also very fitting that we used the old retired shield dies and iirc the shield were stamped from old stock from Schrade's factory floor.

So as a fitting tribute to Wooden Wednesday here's some of my favorite pics of the Serpentine Shadow Jack with the Birdseye pivots and those gorgeous Bocote scales.

Chui Chui Here is a new photo with big sky for you Paul. A few days ago you posted a photo of a Lambsfoot which appeared to be rosewood. Who made it? Could you please post another photo. I thought it might be made by Trevor Ablett. Michael May purchased Ablett’s tools and uses his patterns as well as some of his former parts suppliers.

T. Erdelyi T. Erdelyi . I wish I could have snagged one of those forum knives! BTW, love your avatar.

Wood is good. My 73 Osage really has turned colour and I'm pleased, it started out yellow with stripes and instead of going a dullish brown as it often does, it's taken on a definite ochre orange colour. Stripes are still there too. Great wood in my view and I'm hoping it might appear on the forthcoming Gunstock from GEC. That, and I'd like to get an Osage Dixie as a user:)

Your description of this knife hits the nail right on the head, Ted!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

The only knife I'm carrying this week that has wood covers is this JJ Martinez navaja de campaña, stainless and bubinga (I think):

I think this belongs here today. Despite being two different woods, they match up rather nicely.

I guess I can stop posting pics of my CSC knife because these photos are stunning Ted, especially the one in the bird's nest.
