Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Fantastic lineup, Stuart! Are they cocobolo or ebony, or a mix of both?
Thanks. They are so old (early 1900's) and dark (except for the Continental on the left) that it is hard to distinguish. My notes say all are cocobolo, but I haven't researched any catalogues to see how they were offered. I'll need to pull them out and look again.

Look at them closely in bright sunlight. If they have any hint of red they are cocobolo. I have aged cocobolo (both antique and modern) that is dark like those. The grain and overall appearance in the pictures makes me think they are all cocobolo, but I would have to look at them in hand in sunlight to really be sure.

Have a wonderful Wednesday! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you sir! I don't make that model (Bandito) very often but a special customer (he's got 35 ish of my knives) asked for a couple in wood after he picked up one in sheephorn out of the last batch. So I made him the Turkish Walnut one above and this rosewood one:

He wanted darker woods on both so these are the woods we decided on Peregrin Peregrin . At the same time he saw this little Poco on our website and ordered it too. Stabilized red oak with cocobolo spacer. A Poco is only about 4 7/8" oal.

Told ya he's a good customer.
