Thanks, Jeff. My intent was to simply reshape the handle into something symmetrical and cigar-shaped, but by the time I knocked off the "flare" at the butt of the handle, I discovered I'd also be trying a blade mod.:rolleyes:

Once I colored the steel that had to be removed, it was just a lot of filework.

That red color makes it look like you grabbed the handle to stab yourself far enough to get the measurement for how much blade needed to be removed. :D:eek::oops:o_O

:rolleyes: Joshua, after my lack of foresight on the handle mod, I probably deserved to do penance like you suggest! :D

That's your first wood handled knife? You'll find it hard to top.

I've got a couple of others but a folding Gerber lock back and a Rapala fillet knife are probably not what folks are interested in seeing on this threado_O

I appreciate your concern for others, 315 315 , but my position is I'd hardly post at all if I could only show what others were interested in seeing!:D I think The Porch is a place where you can let people know what YOU like, and they're OK with that (and even WANT to see it, as amazing as that sounds)!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
