Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

I appreciate your concern for others, @315 , but my position is I'd hardly post at all if I could only show what others were interested in seeing!:D I think The Porch is a place where you can let people know what YOU like, and they're OK with that (and even WANT to see it, as amazing as that sounds)!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

As long as it's traditional!

Well, yeah! :D
I always forget that disclaimer because I pretend to live in a bubble where any knives other than traditionals don't even exist.
(Actually, my department gave me a retirement gift recently. They knew I was interested in pocket knives so they got me a Buck flipper of some kind (Vantage 345??). I didn't have the heart to tell them it wasn't "my kind of knife". I guess I've always wanted to get ONE modern knife to show folks what I'm NOT interested in at all, and now I have it. ;))

The Vantage is a nice knife for a modern style. (you can even get one with wooden covers) :)

Back on traditional track: I've been carrying this Barlow for two weeks now! That's a long stretch for me. It could be partly because it took so much work to acquire it, but also it's a great knife and fun to photograph!

I’m starting this Wednesday's posting off with one of my carries for today. 79 Workhorse Whittler in Ebony. :)

Thought I would gather my small collection of Ironwood for a group shot. I kind of wish I was more aware of not only this particular cover material but SFOs in general, I would have attempted to get a 66 in Ironwood when they were available. Such a terrific wood and I would say that aside from good black Ebony, the Ironwood is a close second when it comes to favorite woods.

What’s the little metal thing?
Just a little brass spinning top.

pistonsandgears pistonsandgears I love those 76's. I have a stag and I really wish they would revisit these again. Some how I get the feeling with the 44's coming out the 76 maybe a forgotten model. :(
Yeah it would be nice to see them run it again. It's a nice little pattern. You may be right though with that 44 coming this one may not come around again anytime soon.

Very nice photo as per your usual Dylan . I guess I would have to choose Ironwood like yours over Ebony . Those are very nice .
