Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Much appreciated. I'm old enough to remember tuning into this new show that was a cartoon about a family with this kid named Bart, but was on in the evenings, like an "adult" show. Man, time flies.

In all fairness The Simpsons has been on the air for 32 years. It's been renewed for seasons 33 and 34. Lots of folks who watched it as kids are adults now.

Modified GEC 86 with oil-sucker rod handles.

I'll see your osage 29, and raise you a Blade Forums 2019, and a #23 in mesquite.... these 3 are in my pocket today...

Thanks Greg!
From what I’ve read, an interesting blend of hardwood (rosewood?) and phenolic resin making a very dense sort of plywood. C.Noyes mentioned that this handle type was used for quite a while on kitchenware and was very enduring. The handles on mine, seem brand new! Not a scratch.

Thanks for the info, Gus. The name had me wondering if it was resin impregnated wood, it made for a very good looking scale, and durable too I imagine.

Sounds like Robesons version of what Schrade called "Propwood"
