I acquired it as a ‘toss in’ as part of a trade some years back … at some point, someone had replaced the missing shield with a handmade copper version, but it wasn’t the guy I got the knife from.
Schrade Walden, NY USA … best my research has uncovered is pre-1973 … and as weird as it may sound, she puts out a really special vibe.

Does not sound weird at all. Looking at the blades it appears to have been used and sharpened a lot. On my laptop, I have a story about men and the knives they carried years ago. The story talks about how the knife was a tool but one that was cared for more than others. It goes on to talk about the main blade always being so sharp your eyes bleed from just looking at it.
This knife is one of those knives. If it could only talk.
