Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Great shot of your Lamb !
Thanks, Steve. You had a couple of cool contributions here a week ago!:thumbsup::cool:

My wood for Wednesday are both Christmas presents that I received on December 20. (We had our gift exchange a few days early since we didn't think our daughter and her fiancé would be here on Christmas Day. Turns out the blizzard kept them here far longer than we had planned.)
This French knife is one I ordered Thanksgiving weekend, it arrived on December 2, I carried and used it for a couple of weeks, and then I wrapped it up for my wife to give me for Christmas.

This Chinese lockback is a gift from my daughter and her fiancé that they got for me on a South Dakota vacation they took earlier this year. My daughter told me its "quality to price ratio" was probably lower than any knife she's ever given me, and she's probably correct. But I find souvenir knives hard to resist, and it actually has my name on one side, and the mystery wood covers are currently quite well-finished. (They got me a Badlands ball cap, too.)

If I were to embrace the life of a monk and chose one knife to carry, it’d probably be this one. It’s been getting carried A LOT lately. It was largely ignored in my case for several years until the GEC 49’s were announced…and then I did a double take on it. (It’s a Sheffield, even has an “oil the joints” stamp on the tang). Covered in a lot of rust and dull as dirt, I gave it an hour of care and it’s probably ready for another 100 years of enjoyment. Holds a wonderful edge and nice walk/talk. Oldie users are the best.

All Hail to Sir RALF of the stippled handle!🤓 Good to see him again, Jeff.:cool:

My brand new rotation schedule has assigned me 2 knives with wooden handles this week, one Spanish and one British.

Believe it or not, I just discovered their website today, and if you click on "the Museum" link on this page cqtaramundi link
you'll see an amazing larger than life Taramundi in front of an old stone cutlery workshop!

Thanks, Gary, and good to see one of RALF's brothers being put to work. Does your Taramundi have a spring, or just a snug pivot?
