Congrats, Paul-- that's a great addition. Thanks for the pictures!

I didn't think I'd care for this iteration of Boys Knife when I first saw images of the cut-out and shield, but the finished knife turned my head every time I caught sight of it when at GEC. In ebony, such as yours, the pattern reminds me of a Hershey Bar (a happy association, of course).

It was hard to leave one behind at the time, and now discovering that I'm reluctant to use my walnut barlow with the same blades (and inevitably bung it up), I revisit the notion of picking one up still.

I'm really glad you have one. :)

Thanks Sarah, I like you was a bit hesitant at first in regards to the "Scout". For some reason I kept coming back to it---Andi's picture of his as well as others here were what pushed me to pick one up.

I also am a little reluctant to carry my "Gunstock Walnut" Sheepfoot Barlow I was lucky enough to win in Charlies GAW. There's so much history behind it, although I have used it but find myself second guessing whether I should or not. In the end I stick to every knife should be used.

This one, albeit very nice falls into a "Work" category for me. To be used on all cutting chores. The more I looked and paired it with ebony covers, it was in the end a no brainer

Already posted this in the "totin" thread, but the excitement is overwhelming me....

JH Lloyd rosewood burl and old trusty Northfield 73.

more of this amazing stabelized rosewood burl.

The weather is lousy, so you'll only get a boring indoor pic...
These are so incredibly pointy, if you're not careful you'll start leaking really soon :)
