Colors shifting a bit more.

Mosquito season, as well as Tarantula season. These two doing the death wrasslin' when I walked by, grabbed my camera from the Tacoma and they broke apart when I stooped down to grab some snapshots. Female (larger, lighter brown, fangs out) and male (smaller, dark brown black-ish).

No bees, very few butterflies, no snakes seen.

Great look to the knife now it's been getting copper patinated. Fine pictures too, I don't fear spiders at all, but respect their venom potential. Snakes however, I loathe and detest encounters. Irrational really as I'm keen on Lizards (not too massive mind...) Geckos, and they're reptiles, but....:eek:o_O:poop:

Thanks Will. The coppers look good, change constantly with use and the type and angle of lighting. I'm so glad Boker added these next to the Expedition brass bolster knives. :)

Lots of snakes here. Oddly, walking the riparian area now for 7+ years I've seen a grand total of 4. Two Western Diamondbacks, and two Sonoran Gopher Snakes. In that time, who knows how many I've walked past out of sight in the vegetation just off the trails. You do have to keep an eye and an ear out when wandering here.
