I'm very much with you on the flush-holes aspect. Can't stand some of those gaping sink-holes that GEC can come up with /even though I've been reprimanded for so doing :D:D )

A recent Lloyd with ironwood from the Baja region of Mexico ,aka "una del gato" The background is the same species of ironwood ,with an un polished surface

Thanks Gary,John says the "Una Del Gato" translates ,basically to " claw of the cat " . The local people ,I think have named this because the tree has spines. John is really doing some great work . A great guy to know , friend & knife maker. One mutual friend once said,in reference to John as a slipjoint maker , " A force to be reckoned with"
