Thanks, G. It's a Humphrey 'Brute de Forge.' It's the first knife I've acquired in a while that I pull out of the sheath and just stare at, in awe.

Curly maple handles with black liners, 9.5" overall with a 4.5" blade. 1084 steel.
 
I can see why you get mesmerized, I did too! The lyrics to Micheal Franks "All I need" came into my head:D

I have to ask. What is that lovely on top of in the picture?

A tube based headphone amplifier, running vintage RCA and Dumont/Mullard tubes. The "Bottlehead Crack" - which is a kit (I built and modified). Along with one of my favorite pairs of headphones, the Sennheiser HD600.
