This should make a good package:D

I'd swap the Mora for a small axe .
You don't need the Mora when you have a great slicer like that Woodlander so add a little axe and you have all bases covered !!!

This should make a good camp combo. If I ever get this tech stuff figured out:D I HAVE THE AX AS WELL, JUST HAVE A PICTURE OF IT.

Very cool setup! I've seen those at Sportsmans Warehouse too, and couldn't pull the trigger. Neat blade shape, though.

Not sure how I feel about ditching the mora, as that model is my favorite. They weigh so little it's hard to leave behind. A good hatchet or at least a saw would sure be nice, though.

That's a really nice setup. But personally, I would replace the spyderco with a hatchet. I know, I know, the spyderco is very pretty, but it seems like too much of an inbetween size. I think having it and the mora would be a waste. I love the farmer though. Great knife.

I love the looks of that Spyderco but I'm not sure I could bring myself to really use it. It's too pretty. :p I agree with Spooky though. . . If you're going to keep the Spyderco, then just drop that Mora in the bottom of your pack as a backup blade and you won't even realize it's there 'till you need it. What kind of ax/hatchet do you have?

I have a pretty wide choice of axes. I used to take out trees for people. I have a light weight Hatchet that works well for carry. Its an old Kmart model but its going strong after twenty years. I have several sizez of Estwing axes and a small Fuller. I also have the Opinel saw and the Trekker. I always carry a good mix of cutting tools and most of our camping is drive in or boat/canoe in. I have had my eye on that knife for quite a while and while I didn't really need it, it was about half price, I quess 40 percent off. Bad thing is they had about 40 other good models on clearance as well. I picked up a Freeman hunting knife as well. This one didn't have a gut hook just a drop point blade, a clip blade and a saw blade. I touched it up on the Sharpmaker and she's got a wicked edge. Didn't have to even touch the Woodlander.

I would ditch the mora, too redundant. I would add a folding saw or hatchet/axe.

<I would swap the Spyderco for the mora :p>

Why dump anything? Just take along a hatchet/axe when you go! The Mora weighs nothing...the Vic Farmer weighs nothing...so why not?

I would add a folding saw like the Kershaw/Bahco.. Two fixed blades are redundant. I like moras and would gladly have one over nothing or when making a budget kit, but in this case, I would choose the Spyderco.

Yep, especially since he said he mostly does mostly car or boat/canoe camping. If he were backpacking he might want to lighten his load a bit, but for what he's doing I'd take along all kinds of extra goodies and toys. . . er, I mean tools ;) (carefully secured to the boat/canoe if going that way, in case of capsizing).

That is true and the Spyderco doesnt weigh a lot either.

I think it is an excellent set up for the type of camping you are doing. I would probably ditch the mora but do what works for you.
