A quick question Andy. It may have been covered but I can't find it.

Is this stabalized wood ?

I am just curious, that is all. No problem either way....

The wood is not stabalized. I've never had an issue with this wood checking or spliting. I rarely use stabalized wood, and with care I've never had any major problems with any of my handles. I do stand behind my product, and if the wood moves on you I'll either fix the knife, or send you a new one, or refund your cost, whichever makes you happy. I'd imagine though that if you maintain your knife, it'll last a long long time.

I'd like to commit to this one, but I'll have to see how things turn out in the next couple weeks. Cocobolo would be really pretty too, I might wait and get one of those once things settle a bit. I'm really interested in a Micarta handle too.

Oooh.. That sounds good.. cocobolo is what 90% of my outdoors kit is done in.
