Very nice. That look goes with the era and the aura of duty knife. May I ask what you trap for? I haven't trapped since being a kid on the farm but I have friends who are into it big time--one of those are in AK.

Primarily marten. Some woverine and wolf. This knife goes because it works so well. Plus if I drop it into a few feet of snow and never see it again, I am only out 20 bucks.

I go with a modern woodsman's quad. Claw hatchet, Silky Gomboy (270mm saw), Leatherman Blast, Stanley Quick Slide Sport. This group does everything. I love the Stanley, my EDC. It's my 3rd one. There is nothing I hesitate to do with a knife I can replace for $20. And I like that it has a good utility knife paired with decent locking sport blade.

When my daughter is with a youth group sometimes no one has a pocket knife but her ... so when the need arises she is often the first one asked.
