Work gloves/BOB gloves - what you use?

I gotta say that in my seven years in law enforcement, searching countless mopes and clearing countless houses, the gloves that have, IMO, the best combination of durability and feeling are the oakleys. The mechanix are also pretty good, but I like the knuckle dusters on the oakleys for keeping your hands intact when doing the rough work.

I have and use (almost daily) a old pair of "CAT" branded leather gloves, they are black now from rust, oil and sweat but they have always kept my hands intact when working with brush and are easy enough to slip on and off that it doesnt bother me to remove them every time I have to climb back up the tractor and dump the current load of debris, they have served me extremely well considering they arent the newest, greatest, fastest, most egronomic or any of those things, sometimes its just better to try what you have instead of spending $40 + trying to find the best

I generally just wear them and beat the hell out of them. They last fairly long, and as cheap as they are I just replace them when they rip or crack. The pair in my trunk right now are about 7 or 8 years old, and they've been soaked many times in numerous things, and never really 'cared for'

Keep a pair of mountain biking gloves in my BOB, and a pair of goatskin leather gloves in the van, and a pair at home for general duty.
