Well that is, the knife is not finished yet...Russ Andrews, ladder pattern damascus, Hawthorne PC(personal carry) 7" fighter blade, stainless steel fittings, stabilized amboyna burl supplied by me, purchased at Blade last year from Alpha Knife Supply:

I think the variation of colors in the figure is pretty cool myself....comments appreciated.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Gross dude. Just gross.

No man, I like it. I could be wrong but I am starting to think I see your style. On this piece I like the way the guard curves just a tad on the front side. The wood is gorgeous and blade look pretty serious. Looks like a fighter to me!

I think you're shortly going to have another winning damascus fighter inbound.

The lines of Russ' Hawthorne work well from a 6" blade to a 10" blade, but I think if there is a sweet spot in that range, yours is it. I had a carbon steel Hawthorne in about the same size and thought the proportions darn near perfect for a fighter.

Very nice!

The only thing I'm not so sure about is the guard, personally I think it would look better if it was symmetrical or even slightly S-shaped.

Are you talking about the wood or the towel?
Love the knife, I give it :thumbup:

More proof that the right wood and the right damascus work great together.
Very cool fighter, very much so.
Congrats STeven & Russ ! :thumbup::thumbup:

I think that is a gorgeous knife!! I love the handle. That is beautiful wood. I wish I could see the Damascus better.

Very nice work!

I love amboyna burl - it can come in quite a variety of colors and figure

Love it!! My imediate impression was a bladesmith influenced Loveless. It has the same quiet elegance......in a deadly way.

Awesome job as always Russ!!

Totally awesome... I wouldn't change a thing! I agree that everything Russ makes is awesome!

This is seriously one of the best looking knives I've seen in a while. Like Roger said, every version of this style is great, but this size REALLY hits that sweet spot.

I sincerely hope this one gets (Coop) under a pro's (Coop) lens (Coop) in order to show how great it really is (Coop). :)

Hey, maybe either Russ or you could send it to Coop! :D

Love the lines of Russ' Hawthorne design. Great ladder pattern going on there. Awesome looking fighter!

Hey Nick.......ya think we ought to get it photographed...?

Bailey....The thing that impressed me most, about Loveless's work is
that he seems to have left no aspect or dimension unquestioned....
everything's carefully thought out....can't deny the influence.

Michael.......Gee, and I worked so hard on the towel's camoflage..!

The pattern will show better after a more etching. Hopefully, I'll finish
this early this week.

Roger...I like this size/modification too.....possibilities...

More pics later..

Thanks...!

Hey, it's got E.R. Andrews stamped on it; you know I'm gonna love it.:D

I hope there are plans to post a picture of this knife once completed! Not that I'm complaining- thankful to get to see it at all.
