Work knives

Rural area deputy in a big areas with tons of public land (Colorado) I absolutely love my Umnumzaan but carry a ZT 0562 at work because the deep carry clip doesn’t make a continuous clank against my duty holster when I walk.

Also have an Esee 3hm in my hiking pack in the work truck. Oh, and an Emerson La Griffe tucked away in a shirt pocket under the vest.

Honestly I would carry the Umnumzaan but I’m afraid to loose or damage it at work. It does see use otherwise and I skinned/quartered a mule deer with it last fall and plan to again.

I have a rotation of knives that I carry but lately I have been gravitating towards my Moen Tooling front flipper, it looks, carries, and functions great! I just wish there was a bit of a cutout to access the frame lock. I very rarely need to use my knives at work, however. I work in the environmental sector, doing both office and field work.

I operate a sheet steel industrial laser cutter and do finish grinding sometimes. My main work knife is a gerber EAB lite, which is beat to hell. I also carry a mini boker ak-74 auto knife for backup. Love the easy, one handed opening.

I do maintenance for an apartment complex and usually use my old Kershaw Thicket. I picked it up at a pawn shop for $10 and don't care if I wreck the blade. I've used it to cut drywall carpet and copper wire among other things. Sure I have to touch up the blade after hard use, but it's easy to get it back to slicey sharp.

I am a conservation law enforcement and marine patrol officer- i carry a spyderco tenacious every day and occasionally add a Leatherman Wave and another folder or fixed blade depending on my mood or what i plan to do on a particular day.
Thanks for serving to protect the wildlife and hunting and fishing opportunities for us all! Gods protection be upon.
