World Cup Fans?

This game is NOT good for the blood pressure! Oh if #18 had just made that last opportunity on goal. We'd be done and moving on to Argentina.

ughhhhhhhhhh. i need a beer.

Today I got why soccer won't work for US viewers. I tried to grill and watch at the same time. There is no breaks and no chances to make a run to the bathroom, fridge, grill, phone, etc.

Good third period and amazing showing by Tim Howard.

Wow, Germany vs Brazil is the most devastatingly one sided game I've ever seen. There should be a mercy rule.

Ahhh, no mercy for Brazil! They've won more world cups than any other nation, so I'm good with it . . . That and all the overly dramatic rolling on the ground! I really hope the Netherlands pull through with a win. They are the only country left that had never won. Go underdogs!!!

At this point I'd be happy with either matchup. I always like an underdog. Messi vs Klose would be good too.

This certainly has been an enjoyable world cup (probably partly because I finally decided to get cable and have access to all games). I actually like all remaining teams for one reason or another. Argentina, any soccer fan has to appreciate the genius that is Messi, he's pretty much done it all at the club level and it'd feel weird for someone like that not to win a world cup. Germany, you have to respect their discipline and efficiency, and I also think it's interesting some of their best players are actually of Turkish and Polish origin. Netherlands, I'd been a fan of Robben ever since he was at PSV, and that was like 3 teams ago. He's just tireless and always present, though kinda arrogant (but lot of players of that calibre are). So in conclusion, I just hope two see some good soccer from the remaining fixtures.

Brazil looked like they didn't even want to be there. That was humiliating. While I liked seeing Germany win, I would have liked a better game with fewer cringe worthy moments.

Today I'm just looking for a good game. Maybe a stoppage time goal from Messi or Robben for the win.

When I got out of work little past 5PM eastern, and saw the half time score, I honestly couldn't believe it. The scoreline itself was unbelievable, but for Brazil to be down that low was unthinkable. Scolari in the post game interview talked about how they just became disorganized after conceding the first goal, and I'm sure they got progressively worse with each goal. Makes one think though....Brazil is not used to being down, and being in that unfamiliar territory meant they just didn't know how to cope with it. It's a fairly young team, but they did have some veterans in the lineup, but they all seemed scattered lacking cohesiveness, and no leadership to be found.

Soooo sad, but true!

I live in the land of Drama. Our city has a soccer team and each time we've gone to see a game (very inexpensive to go!) we wonder if we ought to clock all the rolling on the grass time to see just how much of the game is wasted on the grass.

Sorry guys, I have to.

Whoo-hoo Argentina! I want them to win for Messi. Class act that guy. Though I am a fan of a bunch of the Germany players as well. For me, this cup has been outstanding and I am happy to see the two teams in it to win it!
