Have any of you bought knives from worldknives.com? I was looking at their selection and was pleased to see the abundance of stylets and laguioles. How is their customer service/prices? Also, here are a few knives I was thinking of picking up:

Laguiole de L' Artisan 11cm Red Ficus Leaf Knife

Robert David 12cm Bullhorn Laguiole Folding Knife

Trevor Ablett Hand Made Littlemiester Buffalo Horn Knife

Andujar Special Decorated Bull Horn Stylet

EKA SWEDE 60 Babinga Pocket Knife

I am pretty sure Laguile de L' Artisan is reliable for a laguiole style knife, being as they are based in Laguile, France, but how are the other brands/models as far as blade steel/price goes?

Bought Marashiro kitchen knives from World Knives. Those knives are excellent. World knives has brands that no one else seems to carry.

They ship stuff quick.

Don't know about them French knives. If you get one, tell us how you like it.

I bought two Hattori knives and one Linder knife, off them, a couple years ago.
Three occasions and I received a good service, quick delivery and packaging was superb.
I would recommend World Knives as a company you can trust.
As a UK citizen, if you can get any knife made by Trevor Ablett can be assured you will have a treasured possession.(Hens teeth over here to buy)
The Spanish knife you interested in,Andujar, a word of warning.I have found a great deal of difference between the build quality of the exactly the same production "run"(Misalignment of the blade, poor grinds and even on occasion a blunt blade!)I count them as Tourist knives.
Some are excellent knives and some are "Friday afternoon knives" with poor inspection before they are sent out from the factory.
The French knives are good in my opinion.
Swedish steel has a reputation over here in Europe and most of the French and Swedish firms use it.
IF if you had any complaint I am sure World Knives would see you right.

Alright, I'm glad to hear all but one of my choices will most likely be of good quality. The Andujar wasn't really one of the knives I was planning on buying either way, but I'm glad to hear the Trever Ablett knives are of good quality, as he has several designs I like very much.

They are a very good and honorable company. I have bought ten Maserins and a few Mercators from them.....Great sellers, fast shipping. The price on a few knives had gone up but he held the old price for a reorder.....great guy to deal with all the way ....

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

I like the quality of these two. (I won't speak of the others only because of personal unfamiliarity.)

Laguiole de L' Artisan 11cm Red Ficus Leaf Knife
EKA SWEDE 60 Babinga Pocket Knife

"Laguiole" is a style of knife and can be very broadly interpreted. Being made in the town itself has nothing to do with authenticity or quality. I believe many of the good ones come from Thiers.

Alright, well, at least it is still of good quality. I really like the handle on it, so I am glad to hear the rest isn't crap. Also, I really like the handle on the EKA Swede 60, are there other brands that use Babinga?
