Anybody own or have worn Danner hiking boots? I've got a pair inbound from my brother-in-law. All I know is that they're USA made & I can't afford them. I think they run around $250 - $300 a pair.
I'm pretty sure that I've never broken a C- note on a pair of hiking boots. So this might be a little different.

Well hopefully I'll know by this time next week. Too bad I won't be outta the wheelchair for a while & probably won't be back out in the dirt till Sept. or Oct.

I had a couple pair of Danners in the Corps. Good boots, glad I didn't pay for them myself though. Too much money for me, but damn they were comfy.

i also think you can send them in too be repiared and such free of charge, i dont own any but would like too had a pair of rocky 911's once for ems wore them for 8 years every day best 100 bucks i ever spent on boots!

We get a $200 safety shoe allowance at work. I usually buy 2 pairs of Doc Martens industrials. It helps that I wear steel toes for everything except the river trips.

In on page 22........damn I'm slacking.

Going on a small vacation with the girlfriend to Boston this weekend. Anyone have some suggestions of good places to eat?

New York Pizza was pretty a good place to eat. 224 Tremont St. It's about a block off the Boston Commons. We did a trolley tour of Boston. We were limited on time, and only ate when we got back. Only place I ate there, lol.

Boston was one of my favorite places to visit! I went with a couple buddies back in '08, we had a blast. We ate mostly bar food, but we did treat ourselves to a proper restaurant meal once a day. I'll check to see if I can dig up the names of the places. We did the Freedom trail, awesome if you're into history at all. You can do the tour on your own or take a guided tour by a historical character actor. My sole purpose for the trip was to visit the Boston Brewery, but I ended up doing a lot more.

Off in the great North Woods for a few days -- I may or may not check back in for a few days.
have fun and try not to burn the place down while I'm gone.
With WW offline camping, I expect it'll be easy to catch up when I get back.
