Worldwoods dream RMD

They may also be very well building me one coated tanker grey with black canvas!!

Its the drop point RMD take over. I wonder if Josh is regretting what this knife started.

Getting a quote on a sage-coated Dropmandu w/ black g10. :) ..........and there was a shipping notice for one Rodent Trail in the inbox. :) :)

Alright. That's it. I just gotta get me a drop point RMD. Man - one of those in a color scheme to match on of my HRLMs and I am set ! ;)

ETA - Nice one HK !

DO it Magoo :) It would make a great brotherhood knife me thinks. I too have emailed already about a coated working mans version :) Me thinks this DropManDu started an epidemic HAHAHA

N2K thanks man, hope everything is going good with ya, not been seeing you around as much lately.

I'm getting back to the forums. Spent more time surrounded by medical professionals recently than ever wish for another. It's why I was unable to attend the KC stuff too. Everything falls aside when I'm needed elsewhere.

M. , I hope you are Ok. Nothing serious happened?
And good to see you back!

Thanks, guys.

All is better and I'm not the type to ask for well-wishes. But your concern is appreciated.

Now, back to WW's RMD. I think of the standard RMD as sort of a drop point blade shape...am I mistaken? This Custom Shop piece brings it to a whole other level though.

WW, the stabilized giraffe bone feels great in-hand doesn't it?

Standard RMD is a "clip-point" design though it lacks the "upsweep" seen in other "bowie"-style blade profiles. In both "clipped" and "dropped" point-design, the point is lowered toward the belly, but the drop-point Loveless popularized tapers downward in a convex curve, whereas the clipped point is either flat or concave as it descends.

Welcome back.

I'm very pleased to be back on the forum. And will have time for other forums soon too if things continue to improve.

I know first-hand the comfort of the giraffe bone on a RMD but it just screamed collector piece instead of "user" so I no longer have it around.

I know exactly what you mean, I had to email the swamp and make sure after i get thru using this one they could make her pretty again LMAO

Trissy said they sure would take the scratches out and make her beautiful again, and now ill use her!! When I retire her she will go for a make-over :D

It was too tempting. the handle really feels so great. But i wont be buying any more knives with the purpose of only displaying them. Ill still display them, their battle wounds and all :)

N2K good to see you back brother.

Thank you, Josh. Someone dear to me needed me, so everything else took a backseat. Not over, but better. Enough on that, I'm here for friends and knife stuff, not pitty/worry.

Was really hoping to make KC to see you guys and come home with a couple new toys. There's always the next one and maybe a Ganza, so no worries here.

I am really curious to get some in use feedback from Mr. WW on the drop point vs clip point. I honestly think the standard clip point of the RMD is one of the things that makes it such a versatile knife. Tasks like drilling, piercing, and tip prying seem that they would be easier to do with the standard clip point.
