OK, so this is a circular blade story. Was installing a ducted hood fan in the kitchen. Had a 6" hole saw on a big Milwaukee corded drill going in front of my face as I stood on the counter drilling through the cabinet top. It was chattering a bit. Figured it was tough old heart wood in my 100+ house so pressed on, when like a shot the business end jumped out at me still spinning. Hit my safety glasses (thank God I had them on), tore a flap in my cheek and then another in my bicep before I could lift off the trigger. After catching my breath I patched up with a bunch of steri-strips instead of getting stitches cause I wanted to finish the job. After looking at the saw real close I noted it was out of round, then realized I probably did that when the saw had fallen off the ladder a few minutes before. It was then that I realized how close a call I had had, and that the damaged saw was talking to me a moment before the accident and I didn't listen. I still keep those safety glasses with the red streak of blade paint on the workbench as a reminder to respect your tools.
