would like opinions

why in the world should the mods close this thread? A lot of good info / opinions were posted here.
 
Just don't want mods to slap me again for starting a rant thread. Happened before, but if it helps anyone or let's any one vent let's roll it on.. And FYI my knife still hasn't been received by the usps. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!. I'm really not trying to put the guy who I brought it from on blast but if by Friday I haven't received it I'm yelling his name from the roof tops.
 
If I put a knife on the exchange to sell, it needs shipped that same day or the very next day at the latest. You should be ready to get it out to the buyer asap.

I just bought an item and USPS didn't acknowledge anything more than "shipping label created" for days (weekend included). I contacted the seller and he claimed that he shipped it within hours of my purchase. Yesterday, I checked tracking and it was "out for delivery" and I got it. The seller did ship super fast just as he told me he did. The anxiety was over USPS failure to update tracking. Since this was just yesterday, I hope this is the case for you as well.
 
A well respected member here told me: "Since I have your money, it is my obligation to keep you posted on all movements of the knife till you receive it safe and sound and are happy with our deal".

That pretty much sums up what I try to follow too.
 
I think everyone here that's a respected and good trader/buyer/seller will basically agree with some of the great answers here. Another thing that bothers me as a seller is when I don't get confirmation that the buyer received the item and was satisfied or not. Then I'll email or message and still not get a response. Like others have said our reputation here means everything. I hate that i've given 40+ feedbacks but have only received 22. Even in this past week i've sold 4 items and no one will give feedback even after I do. It would be nice if it was mandatory but I realize that's probably a hard thing to do. This thread was a good read. Thanks.

I had to put a buyers mind at ease last week due to the same issue. It took 2 days for anything to show up on the usps website. Luckily I was able to show him the acceptance receipt from the post office. Finally the day it was delivered all the information popped up.
