Would This Makers Mark Be Too Complicated?

I am a weekend knifemaker, but I take pride in my work, and I want to have a mark that is mine and mine alone. I think the design I came up with is unique and cannot be mistaken for anyone else's. I made it by taking letters from the names of some of my best friends, and morphing them into something supremely cool!

I need to be able to etch it into blades as small as 3/4" wide.

Is this too complicated?

Sorry, but eliminate the 3 outermost symbols and it's still too busy IMO. Reminds me of the guy formerly known as Prince thing.

Butterfly = Benchmade
Anvil = Buck
Spider = you know who
?? = you

But hey, your circus and your monkey. If YOU like it do it.

To me a makers mark should be something that one can remember after seeing it just as we all know the Chevy "bow tie" or the Ford oval logo. Something that is personal to you, but a bit more simple would be nice.

Okay. It ‘s missing something. If I move things around, I can put a picture of a squirrel and a picture of a rabbit, and then a very tiny picture of an elk somewhere in there

Take your design, scan it, then drop the size down to 3/4" and see what you think. When scaled that far down, intricate designs are going to look like they belong to "Blobworks" if you are going to etch or stamp. Might be doable on a laser, but people don't want to read Maker Marks with a jeweler's loupe.

This seems strangely familiar. I remember a very similar thread about someone making a logo with runes? Looking at this design, I would think this is a tongue in cheek sort of thing?
