Would you be mad at your wife if...

You just found out she lost a super rare ZT 0777 that you had gotten for her?

Not really. When it comes to EDC my mindset is this: If you can't afford to lose it or destroy it, you shouldn't EDC it. Or in this case, have your wife EDC it...

I mean, sure... I'll cuss if I lose my Sebenza or something similar that I'm EDCing, but life goes on.

I lost a Benchmade Stryker in M2 that was my favorite folder when I lost it after carrying it for a year and a half. It happens. My brother lost one of my NMSFNOs, but putting it to serious use in a snow storm so I didn't get too upset about it.

I would be happy she wanted to carry it at all.

Did you buy her the knife because she really likes it or because you really like it? If the former, she will already be mad with herself. If the latter, you should have bought it for yourself and got her something she would value.

Either way, no point in getting upset with her about it.

I guess why I was a bit upset is that I waited on it for two years, she liked it so much I gave it to her.

Going to tell her from now on I would like her to carry blades that we can replace

Dr. Phil told me that the relationship is vastly more important than the knife.

Yea, it's frustrating when people don't appreciate the value of things. My girlfriend is a clutz, but it's difficult to tell her "Don't use my nice kitchen knives - use the cheap ones, so I won't mind when you mangle the edge."

Yea she did that one too. Came home and one of my nice kitchen knives was broke. I asked her what happened. She said it was cheap shit knives. So I asked how she broke it. Trying to loosen a screw the put a new license plate bracket on her car

Well, the next time that she tells you you waste too much money on knives, tell her that buying them is not a waste of money, but not taking care of them is.

I can understand the frustration, but it sounds like it was unintentional and not worth the hard feelings. I have lost a knife before as well, and could only blame myself. Life happens!;)

True. Well if she does happen to find it, that guy is going in the safe and she can have a CRKT to carry

Since I have done way more stupid stuff than my wife overthe years I have no right to get mad at her. Though I might cry a little.

+1

and will add... my wife doesn't care what I spend on guns, knives, ammunition, or related items- as long as the bills get paid, she's good. in fact, every time she watches the walking dead she asks what we need to buy next...

Sorry to hear your knife is lost. I won't get nice kitchen knives because I won't expect my wife to care for them as much as I would, and I don't think it would be fair for me to complain when she does most of the cooking while I am away at work.
Just one of those things, but my relationship with my wife is more important than sharp steel (although I am trying to convince her that knives are worth taking good care of).

I've been trying to trade my wife off for years....doesn't work, after I give a description they normally pass on the offer. And if you're gettin laid....you just ain't been married long enough.

My wife lost a Benchmade auto Bedlam that she wanted for our anniversary. She got a good year or two out of it- but lent it out to a coworker or something like it. It happens, I suppose. We ordered a BGTG for her birthday, and I might be a little more cross if that ends up getting lost, though.
