Would you be OK with paying $300 for a folder that looks like this?

I received this knife a little over a week ago and I was initially pretty happy with it. Then I started noticing nicks in the titanium liners. This lead to a closer look and I found multiple nicks in the titanium liners and also one on the blade itself. I got a hold of the vendor (paid dealer here) and I was able to send it back and exchange it for another model. Thus far the vendor has been awesome. I was so disappointed with the original knife l that I decided that I didn't want the same model of knife any more and chose a different model from the same manufacturer. I am hoping that the replacement knife is near perfection and I get the total difference in price back.
I have 3 Spydercos (Calypso, Ulize & Yojimbo II) which are superb in the fit and finish and they are roughly 1/2 the price. Sucks having to pay $13 plus the gas to ship it back when IMHO the knife should never have left the manufacturer looking like this. Am I asking too much at this price point? What do you guys and gals think?

The nick in the blade is near the center of the picture on the left side.

This needs to go in general. This forum is for slipjoints and knive like my grandfather carried.

And to answer your question, no I wouldn't like paying for that knife.

Is that gap from the liner lock? It's normal to have a slight gap between the leaf and scale.

Looks rough to me. 300 is also a lot of money to me, therefore I would expect better.

No I would not. Overall f&f is lacking and the uneven transition from the scale to liner in that first pic is pretty bad.

I just spent $5 on a website for a balisong trainer and they decided to send me a counterfeit benchmade (wasn't what was described, and was caught off guard) and just got that in a few hours ago that thing has far superior fit and finish than that $300 knife. In fact what you have there is what I expect from a $2 knife at the flea market, not even gas station quality.

Every knife I paid $50 or more on have been perfect fit and finish. Most of my purchases are in the $10-25 range and they have far superior fit and finish than that knife would be a vast understatement.

To say I be greatly disappointed in the knife would be an understatement and that's not the knife elitist in me talking it's just not to par for what your paying.

i felt ripped off after receiving the brous bionic, it felt like a 10 dollar gas station knife, brouse blades seem to be way overpriced, i wont be buying any more of their products.

If that's the case, I am not surprised. I think it's pretty much SOP at this point to return a knife to Brous immediately to be finished off correctly. I'm pretty sure these are mass produced for Brous by a machinist shop and I'm not sure how much QC they go through before delivery. Pretty much every Bionic on here wound up going back for adjustment/finishing.

I think I remember reading that the blade grinds were the only thing done by Brous for the Bionics. There certainly was too much variety with them though, I got two and they are night and day from each other.
