would you buy this knife ???

ive owned it for a while is is really solid! no blade play and it sharpens nicely and holds a great edge. ive edc'd it instead of my paramilitary2 lately

I'll certainly take that overpriced, low quality, embarassment of a PM2 off your hands and dispose of it for you, if you need somebody to do that. I'll even be a good guy and step up and cover shipping.

This a really bad example - my Toyota Highlander, Tundra's, Tacoma's and various other Toyotas are built in the Indiana, Texas and Kentucky. Except the tranny all the parts are made in the USA too.

Much of GM's (Chrysler, Chevy, Jeep) fleet is built in Mexico or parts sourced in Mexico and Brazil, ain't that a hoot!

PS It says China right on the blade so why is everyone's panties in a bunch? Frost didn't lie, I think the OP is just a little confused is all.

Frost is a company based out of USA that has knives made in China.
It would be like buying a Toyota in USA and thinking it is a USA made truck.

No. No. No. I'd rather stab myself with a spoon than pay any amount of money for that knife.

Still can't figure out how they can do a knife like this for under $5! Yeah, I know, slave labor and Blah, Blah, Blah, but material costs alone gotta be an issue!
Just amazes me, be it a knife, a fishing reel, a pair of shoes or a socket wrench. Way past time for protective Tariffs! Of course, that would be death to the dollar stores!

I bought crappy Frost knives in the 80s so I'd never buy anything from them now. I have a long memory.

oops

i don't know why people get so upset when a product say made in USA and its not if something says made in Canada and its not i don't give 2 shits cause i don't own my country nor do i care if my money stays in Canada. if its cheap and it works then i get it. im not gonna go out of my way to by something and spend extra money just because the funds will stay in our economy. if the government wants to keep money in our economy then they should stop investing money in overseas crap they don't need because its not up to me to to save the economy im busy saving money in my wallet. that's just my opinion

um actually its a legit spyderco paramilitary 2 i own lots of spyderco, bench made, crkt's but for 2.50 this is a wonderful buy made in china or not

The company's name probably isn't "Frost," probably "Frost USA."
So just putting Frost on the blade may be misleading.

I wouldn't buy it, but knives4ever makes a good point. The Australian Govt. makes no attempt to preference Australian businesses.

If you're happy with it, that's great. I, personally, would not buy it for myself. I'm reminded of an elderly customer of mine that once told me, "Son, cheap s#%t ain't good, and good s#%t ain't cheap."

^my opinion regarding Chinese mad knives saying otherwise

No temptation here. At that price significant corners have been cut, likely in places like raw materials and heat treatment. The overall design isn't appealing to me, either functionally or aesthetically.

Listen...you asked for peoples opinions on a junk knife. When everyone said its junk and they would never buy it you got butt hurt. Why ask the question if you might not like the answer?
I have a good feeling that if everybody had your opinion on buying cheap junk made overseas you would be out of a job. :foot:

Just to stay on thread it looks like junk and is junk, I would never buy one.
