Yes.

Tiny ones like a Subcom or Spyderco Dog tag. Maybe, one of those Panchenko coin knives. Subcom is an excellent knife for its size. Dog tag, not so much. The coin, I dunno.

I carry neck knives in my pocket

would never wear a pocket knife around my neck

Thanks for the replies so far... interesting information.

My examples in the pic. seem to support the poll... while I like the knife I made the open sheath for... didn't find it handy in carrying this way. May try and convert to a belt carry of some sort.

The Skyline I made "closed carry" though, I'm finding very handy... especially doing stuff around the house, I find myself reaching for it more than the pocket knife. Part of the reason I made it... I like the knife, but pretty much carry everything 'tip up' on the left... so didn't carry the Skyline much. But as a "necker", it has proven useful. Like someone mentioned... probably not as handy if I had to pull it from under a shirt, but around the house, no problem.

Anyway, thanks again... enjoying the comments and have learned a bit. Good info.

No because it potentially draws more attention. The thing I like about my folding knives is they can be hidden in my pocket. Also, I wouldn't want to carry a Recon XL on my neck!

sometimes I will have a simple paracord loop around my neck and a small folder attached by the pocket clip. It seems much more secure than the hanging holders. It won't come off!

Yes esp swiss army knives that dont have clips, nice to have many tools in a place that otherwise wouldnt be utilized. Also handy when around/in water or on a boat/canoe.

seems like a waste...just carry a fixed blade neck knife. White river makes some awesome ones and they are cheap in s30v with great sheaths.

It never ocurred to me to carry a folder as neck knife. But if the sheath works one handed why not?

I would rather clip a folder to the shoelace around my waist. Ok maybe a shoelace is going to too far. A piece a paracord...
Seriously if for some reason I didn't have a pocket to clip a folder to and felt I needed one, I would change pants.

No. Neck knives feel awkward to me. Just not natural feeling. Never tried a folder, but that is not something I would feel comfortable with either. I like a pocket clip tac style folder in my strong side pocket. Can be retrieved ultra fast and the blade can be deployed lightning fast, for defense or chores. Easier to conceal also. Just my opinion.

Nope. Small fixed blades for neck carry only. Actually, I prefer to carry neckers the DJ Urbanovsky promote the carry of the GITFO: Paracorded around the belt and inserted in a pocket or along the waist.

I often carry a fixed blade as a neck knife (Spyderco ARK, CRKT Minimalist, Cold Steel Spike...) but only one and a single one folding knife I feel comfortably with in neck-carry mode, the DF2.

It's so tiny, lightweight and with a peculiar shape/profile that makes it very comfortable to carry with a chain or necklace going through the lanyard hole or the pocket clip for quick and easy acces.

The neck knife thing completely baffles me. If I didn't have pockets for some strange reason, I'd clip a knife inside the waistband of the pants. If I didn't have pants, I'd wear a backpack and carry it there. If I didn't have a backpack, I'd just carry the damn thing in my hand. :^D

This is the only thing that ever hangs from my neck.

I got a neck/kydex sheath for a Blur, and while I don't carry it often, I do like the option especially when say hiking with another fixed blade handy, beach trips with minimal pocket space for a knife on the board shorts,, or just doing work around the house.

I wouldn't make it a regular edc thing, a bit heavy, but in some situations it is nice to have.
