Would you carry a knife to a funeral?

I always have two knives on me, a slipjoint and a large pocket clipped knife. I would carry them to weddings, funeral's, baptisms, anywhere I go. They both ride unseen anyway, the slippie in my front left rides at the bottom of the pocket, while the clipped knife has a deep carry clip that puts the entire knife inside my pocket, so no big deal for me. Plus, when I go to the "last" funeral, I plan to have one in my pocket!

Yes.
As long as it's legal.
A fine knife can be a conversation starter too.
Especially when you need to find a topic.

I did at Grammaw's a few weeks ago......it was the emerson commander, but I meant to grab the cold steel recon clip.......Im still pissed off about it.

When I go my family plans to dress me up as I would do for myself when I set out to go to the remote cabin for my funeral. I will be in my outdoor gear with one of my fixed blades strapped to my belt, before going 6 feet down. Wanted to be burried in the canoe, but the family wants use of it, so I will settle for a wooden box.

I have and will again. Just a small slipjoint. I always have a knife with me when it is legal to do so.

I have done so on occasion over the years. A small stockman or such. Carrying an knife has never been an issue to me. I just carry something that doesn't scream out.

Same here. No reason why I would not carry a knife on any occassion (law permitting), aside from flying or entering a federal building, etc. I pocket a Centofante 4, or a Sebenza. Not sure why it would require so much thought.

I have to attend the funeral of one of my friends on Friday, and i'm not sure if I should carry a knife to it or not. Would you carry a knife to a funeral?

I carry a knife everywhere I go... church, weddings, funerals, and any place else. It's just something I grew up with. All the boys and most of the girls I knew carried one everywhere. It's just stuck with me over the years.

Yup. I did to my grandfather's funeral two months ago. I feel like he would have appreciated it. He certainly liked my Umnumzaan when I showed it to him the last time I saw him in the nursing home. I took my Sebenza in a calf-skin slipcase, and nobody noticed I even had a knife.

Besides, it was useful: I cut flowers and ribbons for my Mom. I also found out that my cousin is also a knife collector, so I guess I'm not the only one in the family.

Why wouldn't you carry a knife to a funeral?

Why go out into the world without the most basic of tools?

Well yeah!!! What makes you think the guy in the box didn't carry a knife when alive or isn't carrying one now or in the hereafter?

My BM 530 would be clipped in my right front pocket. If I was a pallbearer then it would be inside the pocket. I do not consider myself fully dressed without a sharp-edge tool of some sort.

why not.. I'm not going to stop carrying my blade unless I'm not legally allowed to. This includes church when I go twice a year with my grandparents.

I would and I have. On many occasions. If you carried a knife around somebody when they're alive, why would you change that just because they're dead? I certainly don't think it's disrespectful to carry a knife to a funeral, or a wedding, or what have you. If that's part of who you are, then be who you are.

What could be wrong with it? I have been carrying my edc on funerals. Why not?

I carry my knife to funerals. When my father was buried, I made sure he had his as well.

I carried my Case Tribal Spear and my Sebenza at my mom's funeral in January. Didn't use either, but I carried 'em. My mother wouldn't have recognized me if I didn't.:)

When we buried my Dad last year I was carrying the knife he had carried for the previous 30 years. I don't remember if I was carrying a gun or not, but I probably was.
