Would you like to see Chris Reeve do a flipper?

I think I would rather see other colors of micarta, other blade shapes, other blade steels, etc. before the flipper. For example a large insingo inkosi in m390 might be interesting

I don't understand why folks want knives that look more, feel more, and manipulate more like some other knife... or a whole slew of knives. Personally when I see a frame lock flipper on bearings I slowly back away with my index fingers forming a crucifix.
If there are things you love about how a company does business and their manufacturing philosophy it's only natural to wonder what other styles of knife you like would be like if made by them. Maybe the companies that make the style you like fall short in other areas that CRK excels at.

I don't think a front flipper gents knife would be out of CRK character at all. I'm not talking a flying-thwack type of flipper, but a controlled opening front deployment type of flipper ala some of the other South African influenced types. But done at a CRK level. Like I posted previously, a Mnandi with a front tab would be irresistible to me.

I am not a fan of flippers or bearings. I did own a Curtis and it was a very solid built knife, but there is something about thumb studs and washers I like. Very easy to maintain. Simplicity is the ultimate in sophistication, this is how I feel about the sebenza. I will leave it up to CRK's to decide what they want to build.

This question is asked at least every 6 months on this subforum. Still a lot of naysayers... sigh..
CRK has to come up with a flipper and they have to start using some better steels or they will continue to be marginalized.
No one is suggesting to discontinue the good ol' sebie but it should not be THAT hard to add another knife to the lineup.

I say this a lot but generally with other products; I'm not sure that they intend to grow some people and companies are happy serving a niche.

"Perfection is achieved not when there's nothing more to add, but when there's nothing left to take away." Antoine de Saint-Exupery

This describes CRKs perfectly. They're fine just the way they are, in my opinion.

Front flipper please. It doesn't have to be a "flipper", though.

I agree, a front flipper CRK would be awesome. I don't know if you know this but atleast on mine I can thumb roll my large Inkosi open quite easily. Can't thumb flick it but it is actually surprisingly easy to slow roll using the jimping on the spine.

I don't know if it will work on the small Inkosi, but I know it doesn't work on my small or large 21s.

Good to know. I wish I can do the same on my Umnumzaan.
I should look into Large Inkosi.......

Something difft bit not too radical (TiLock) in the $400 range would be a winner! Would buy one just bc.

I agree I'd like to see them add new knives but are flippers that big of a deal? I don't know, I have only ever owned one and none of the companies I typically buy from even make a flipper.
