Keep in mind also that constantly being on the move means you're burning a hell of a lot of calories. Where are these coming from?
You could shoot things, but you need a gun and (limited supply of) ammo. You could set up some snares, but that means you have to wait (therefore you're no longer on the move). Or you could expend even more calories carting around 15 lbs of Clif bars.
Oh, believe me, I've considered this quite a bit.
Its the balance. How much food to not weigh too much, but enough to feed. Protien vs Carbohydrates. Vegetables vs Fiber.
AND being mobile at the same time. Tough to do, so, here's my take on it.
Get some kinda of exercise, no matter what kind. Walking is being in motion, only slower. Make sure your gear is tight, and your skills are NOT rusty. It is the best balance any of us can work through.
Had a guy tell me about military fitness. He says, them runs are great, but if you want real world endurance, road marching is your best bet.
Makes sense, no one can run forever, but you can walk for a long ways, while toting gear.
