Would you use/edc your chris reeve knife?

Bladehq, truenorthknives, forthenrycustomknives... nearly every knife site will have a supply of sebenzas. I love my small 21.

OK thanks guys! I just need to stick to one. I have ordered and canceled 3 of them without them even processing the requests... cause its the weekend.

but i found out knifecenter is in my state so i will get something from them.

It's inevitable now... :D. If you are still up in the air between a large and small, I'd advise getting one on the exchange here. Buying pre-owned you will be able to get most, if not all of your money back should you decide that you purchased the wrong size. Heck, buy one of each on the exchange and sell the one you don't think you want.

Be forewarned though, going from a large to small or from a small to large takes a moment or so. Each size makes the other feel excessive. You'll get used to it though when you own both.

Small 21 on work days, 25 when outdoring

+1:thumbup:

The large is more comfortable in hand, if you're going to be using it for extended periods or as your only outdoors knife get a large. The small is much more comfortable to carry and performs so well, I've never felt the need for something larger as an EDC. Of the two I get more use from a small. YMMV:)

User - definitely Yes!
Large or small? --> I'll bet you will end up with both and rightfully so.
Most of the time the small will be sufficient - outdoors relations change. :)

I think it's obvious just by reading the threads in this forum that plenty of people use their CRKs.

where are the best places to look to purchase.... besides the forums? So far I have 2 to choose from at knife center..... the gold leaf large or large enigma

I've had great luck with Sebenzas from KnifeArt. They get a lot of special or limited runs too. BladeHQ, Knife Works and GP Knives are also authorized CRK dealers.

I carry and use a zaan and a small micarta insingo, if I know im doing heavy work. If not I carry a 25 or large 21 CF. only because they are in much better condition. I pretty much never cut anything with the latter two, don't even know why I still own them. Should have bought users like the other two lol. I guess the condition they were in when I bought them, dictated their use. (purchased all 4 second hand)

Would you marry a woman and not make love with her ;)? Through use comes deeper appreciation of the great CRK designs. I suppose my answer, is yes, I would use my CRKs, and do almost every day.

Beautiful knife! The battle scars really gives character to this one.. the blue lanyard pin and thumb stud are popping out too... :D

The large 21 is my main edc. Well, it used to be before I misplaced it.
I have turned everything upside down and it's still m.i.a.
Unless it's a really rare, expensive one a knife that's not being used is a waste imo.

Having a knife you don't use, makes as much sense as those little towels, in the bathroom, that your wife won't let you use.

What's even going to happen to them if they get wet? Will they shrink? How could they be of any less use than they already are? And how does she even know that I've used them? Does that mean she uses them but I can't?

:D

Not only do I EDC/use my CRK it would not feel right with out at least 1 in my pocket. Usually a small reg and a large reg, but always the small.

If you used his wife's small towels there might be some explaining to do :)

I really would like to know how my wife knows I've used the damned things if no one is supposed to use them at all! To say "stop using the decorative towels" she has to be trying to use them to know that I've already tried!

Glad you ended up on the CRK path, I remember you post in general not that long ago inquiring.

Personally the Small is all the knife I ever need, but sometimes I want something bigger and uglier to handle the bigger and uglier tasks that pop up (those go to the Emerson in the glove box)
