I like the point that TRAV makes. It's especially humorous that this incident happened at a restaurant, as there were probably knives sitting at the lady's table. In fact, it's even possible that she was actually using a knife to eat her food shortly before she called the police to report that someone in the restaurant had a knife.

It's a fallacy that being "nice" to sheeple by hiding weaponry is good for "the cause"; it perpetuates the idea that weapon-bearing citizens are doing something "wrong" and furthermore it indicates we know we're doing something "wrong".

The stupid b1tch in this story deserves nothing but scorn, although that will also not help "the cause". The original poster was more than patient with her - I would have been quite rude.

I carry fixed blades openly every single day. It's not "sloppy" because concealing a fixed blade could land me in prison. I must carry unconcealed.

I live in a major urban area, and seeing knives is pretty rare here. Fortunately, I have yet to run into someone as ignorant and self-important as the dumbass cock-biter in this story.

If someone freaked out about it, I'd simply say "It's legal" and leave it at that. If they pressed it, I'd tell them to mind their own f@cking business. If they want to call the cops, fine. Let them get their jollies. The cops will show up to find a fine upstanding citizen with a legal belt knife enjoying his dinner, coffee, whatever, trying hard to ignore some hysterical ass-monkey chittering away.

What a total bunch of crap.

Ass munching monkey ass is what she is!Many people here carry knives,mostly on belt,and folks don't get excited.But if you are a convicted felon OR get into a scrap while wearing the knife(even if you don't draw the knife)the locals are going to haul you in.A couple of weeks ago my nephew was attacked by a lowlife weilding a clawhammer.Nephew was bent over trying to protect a newborn baby from being struck by the hammer.He received busted ribs and a broken hand.The idiot that was swinging the hammer was on probation at the time.Locals didn't run him in,just gave him a ticket!Assault with a deadly weapon,I'd call it.You cut or shoot somebody,even in self defense,they are probably gonna give you the ration.The hammer boy is in jail now,but for driving without a license,3rd.or 4th.time.GO FIGURE!Kyui,you kept your cool,and the cop was stupid for letting the assmuncher give him crap.
