Well, I have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the maxpedition (Edit, Lunada) from bushman, I was in the process of ordering on but opted to go with his option.

AND ITS A GOOD THING I DID!:D

Let me explain.
3 pm rolled around and I was thinking I should check the mail, got my boots on, ran out in the snow to check the box, Low and behold there she was.
I came back in and thought, I need to take pictures!
First off was opening it, had to use a knife as Bushman can wrap a rackage like no ones business!

Good thing he did though, as I took the Bag out I thought it was oddly heavy, I thought ok heavyer duty than I thought, not a bad thing.

Then I open the pack and find some Cotton for fire starting, freggin awesome!
Then I dig a little more and find a Mini Bar with a cord wrapped handle! WOW, I was starting to wonder what else was in here.
Then going through some more, a Double sheath Pops out! NOW WAY! at this time as you can Imagine I was like a little shcool girl.
I thought this is just amazing, money being tight, and giving the rest I had left over to my sis, finding the things I wanted even more were there! I have a funny feeling Bushman is santa or something, its the only way I can explain it.

But the, as I picked the bag up to put it on, I feel something shift in side, and there is only one thing that moves like that, that I know of.

A FREGGIN KNIFE!
no way I saw this coming, I couldn't believe it........

So, after the shock was over, I figured it was time to look over the pack, get a feel for where everything was, then load it up.
First off let me say this in an amazingly we made pack for being made in taiwan. Its lines are clean, excellent stitching, durable materials over just a great EDC bag, which for me was going to be the primary purpose of it.
It rides great, and allows for a few was to carry it, left and right obviously. Also there is a whistle in the small strap, right where you need it, very convenient.

Also, its was bigger than I had imagined, bigger pockets, pouchs every thing. Its a good thing I didnt go bigger to say a malaga as it would have been TOO big, this is just the right size for me, plus its Manly looking:cool:

6. leatherman wave

Over all I am extremely impressed with the pack, great value and worth every penny. The only thing I would to see is.... More of these in my hands!
Seriously though, its great, and its great to be a receiver of this kind of kindness, its truly inspiring.

Thank you Bushman.

The pack is going to make a great EDC bag, every thing i need to get out of say a blacked out store, or theatre. Get me to my car and home, or say the lights go out over the city, I've got some extra... Insurance to get me home. Plus, when and I'f I get some extra cash, I think one of the rolly dump pouches from Max would be great.

Awesome pack, I recommend it to anyone looking for an edc of good size and weight.

Great looking EDC bag, you have a winner there. Also, awesome generosity of Bushman - good stuff man!

How big is the "tunnel" underneath where the Maxpedition label is?
I seem to remember someone getting a tomahawk haft through there, just wondering if a larger hatchet could be put in it.

I've been happy with mine for a day walking bag. I can keep water, diapers, wipes, survival kit, flashlights and batteries (can you say junkie?), and knife in there with room to spare.

This entirely depends on what you stick in the pocket that "tunnel" wraps around. With it full, you can't get much in there. But you wouldn't have to. The pack has molle straps, and lots of ways to strap on an axe.

LOL. Naa. I've just got the pack already is all...

It holds an RC 6 great, this is with the GPS batteries and what not, I would think a tomahawk fits.

That doesn't look like a Remora to me. I think you have a Lunada, which is the next size up from a Remora.

The tip-off is that you have that front, top pocket (the Remora doesn't) and the tunnel in front of the pocket.

Looks like a great pack for day hikes. Nice review.

And kudos to Bushman 5 for the amazing generosity!

All the best,

- Mike

teeheee! right on man, glad you like it! It just did'nt really fit me the way i wanted it too.

careful with that double green sheath, i had one of my blades slip out the bottom. I would take a length of webbing and sew the openings shut, i'd hate to see you lose any gear. What does fit in that sheath nicely is 3 powerbars in each pocket or powerbars in one and a small GPS in the other (or cell)

when i got it it had the remora tags on it.......and i removed the shock cords form the tunnel so i could use the cords to secure my flashlight on the side Molle rail.

DOUBLE EDIT: you know what...i think you might be right on the bag being a Lunada......i eat my words....

Awesome! Looks like a great score! I've been wanting to checkout some maxpedition gear for a while

Wow! What an awesome score! It looks to be the prefect EDC bag for you Fonly.. but the RC-6 doesnt fit just right... I think you should send the RC-6 to me, so you can find a blade that fits better :D

now for a really dumb question... what brand/where do i get some of those cotton rolls?

the dentist! (they are dental Cottons, used for packing gums while in surgery.) I do believe JOEZILLA sent me a bunch of those

LOL.

My big problem right now is I've been thinking the Remora is a bit on the small side. Looking at that Lunada with the extra pocket in the top, front has got me gnashing my teeth and growling, "Must. Not. Buy. More. Maxpedition. Gear."

:D :D

Thats incredible, its amazing how alike the are, the pictures on-line are very misleading.

Makes me wonder how small the remora is...

Ill have to get some more pics up, Ive got the thing stuffed, but it fits my essentials great, I still have some room.
