Thats incredible, its amazing how alike the are, the pictures on-line are very misleading.
Makes me wonder how small the remora is...![]()
Very small. Probably about 2/3 of the bag you have, if I'm interpreting the pictures correctly.
My bag currently holds:
- Small Moleskine notebook
- Parker space pen and a mechanical pencil
- Orion 8x32 monocular (even in the city and the 'burbs there are birds to watch)
- Garmin Nuvi GPS Unit
- Surefire U2 Ultra flashlight
- small bottle of purell hand sanitizer
- small packet of baby wipes (will clean ANYTHING)
- my wallet
- a few bandaids
- small tube of neosporin
- 4 Tylenol and 4 Advil in individual wrappers
- A small change bag
- spare set of batteries for the Surefire
- whistle
- bic lighter
- some fishing line for cordage (thinking about adding a few feet of para cord)
- a bandanna
- Leatherman juice multitool
- Palm Centrino cellphone, but only because I added a Maxpedition CP-M phone holder to the side of the bag.
I sometimes carry my sunglasses on the bag by folding it through the shock cords on the top front of the bag. I'll also sometimes clip my keys to the outside the bag, although I usually just clip them to my jeans. And, of course, I carry a folder in my right front pocket, not in the bag.
There's still a bit of room in the bag -- I sometimes carry a Palm T/X in there, and I can sneak an iPod Nano in without any trouble -- but if I put much more than that in the bag it starts to get overfull and it's hard to access anything. Most irritating, I can't add a book or a magazine without taking something out (which is usually fine, because I mostly read fiction using my T/X), and of course there isn't any way to carry water in it/on it.
The collection of stuff that I currently carry is fine for bumming around in-town. If I head out of town, I have to go to a bigger bag that holds a lot more stuff.
Basically, if you took a large fanny pack and slung it over your shoulder, then that is the Remora.
