I got it used and then used it in the field while land surveying for a few years and had to freshen up the edge a few times. I had to figure out which side was convex and then figure out how to sharpen it but this old blade still bites like a rabid dog... er hog.

almost wish this baby showed up a user.........I HATE just looking at knives, but I don't think I have it in me to use it.....especially with my HOGASH usually only being an arms length away:D

Great score! Mine seems to be very similar to that one, with the grips. It came to me stripped, rusty in places, and with the edge in very bad condition, but I got a decent deal on it. The fellow I got it from didn't have any info on it's history, though.

Congrats on a beauty! :thumbup:

nice find. I really want to try an asymmetrical edge one of these days. seems like it would give me the best of all worlds.

I do like the feel of the ergo handles in the hand.

I wish I had haunted the pawn shops in my last town (much bigger than where I am now). there must have been 20 pawn shops. Here we have just one. I was actually in another city for work today, and tried the local pawn shop. They were closed for the week. I will have to try back next week.
